"Ithaca: is it THE destination? A multidisciplinary approach"

By using the poem 'Ithaca' of Kavafis, in multiple representations (text, comic, video with narration) we intend to engage students in meaningful, creative group activities to enable them to enrich their vocabulary and understand the meaning of the poem. Στόχοι

Γενικός Σκοπός του όλου έργου ήταν η δημιουργία του πρώτου μουσείου υπολογιστών στην Κύπρο, το οποίο θα αποτελεί και χώρο μάθησης για την εξέλιξη των υπολογιστών. Για την πραγματοποίησή του εργάστηκαν αρκετοί μαθητές, εκπαιδευτικοί, γονείς και μέλη της κοινότητας του σχολείου.

"Ιστορία των Υπολογιστών": Κυπριακό Μουσείο Υπολογιστών, 2015

Περιγραφή εξέλιξης των υπολογιστών, από το 2200 π.Χ. μέχρι και σήμερα. Περιγραφή υπολογιστών από τη δεκαετία του 1970 μέχρι και το Raspberry Pi του 2012.

Τα κείμενα έγιναν από τους μαθητές του Δημοτικού Αγίου Σπυρίδωνα Λευκωσίας, στα πλαίσια (και) του Ολοήμερου Σχολείου, τη χρονιά 2013-2014. Τα περισσότερα από τα μηχανήματα φιλοξενούνται στο Μουσείο Υπολογιστών που στεγάζεται (προσωρινά) στο σχολείο μας.

Στόχοι

Ο γενικός σκοπός της προσέγγισης ήταν η ενσωμάτωση μαθητριών των απομακρυσμένων σχολείων στο μάθημα Επιστήμης του κεντρικού (hub) σχολείου, με τρόπο τέτοιο που να επιτρέψει στις εκπαιδευτικούς των σχολείων αυτών, την ώρα της Επιστήμης, να εργαστούν με τα υπόλοιπα παιδιά. Μέσα από την τηλε-ένταξη, οι μαθήτριες είχαν την ευκαιρία να αναπτύξουν τη συνεργασία με άλλα παιδιά της ηλικίας τους και να λάβουν μέρος σε εκδηλώσεις του κεντρικού σχολείου.

Acceptance and integration of refugees through a game based learning scenario

Almost 40% of students in our school originate from Eastern European or Middle East countries. In recent years, a lot of people are migrating from Middle East countries and come to Cyprus as political refugees and in many cases their children become students in primary schools. Through this scenario, we are expecting students to engage in activities that will allow them to understand the reasons that forced people to migrate from their countries to Cyprus, and the problems they face in their new country.

—Primary schools in Cyprus have managed to integrate students from various eastern European, Asian and middle east countries. In recent years, wars in the area have forced significant number of refugees to relocate to Europe. Children from Syria, Palestine and other countries attend school for at least a year. Through this scenario, students can learn the difficulties that force people to become refugees.
