A newsletter published by Apoplous.org during a 3-year research study of thin clients in primary education (Cyprus). Between 2005 - 2008, a one to one ratio was achieved in a primary school in Cyprus, using thin clients and open source software to assess their impact in lowering the total cost of ownership of computers in education.
In this issue we discuss news regarding the introduction of OLPC laptop, we talk with the Ministry of Education (Cyprus) on the thin client research in primary education, and we introduce the 'Apoplous' methodology of one to one computing with the use of a learning management system in the classroom.
