This comicbook has been designed by the outreach team of the ALICE experiment in order to introduce primary school students in the physics of the ALICE experiment.
In the following set of videos, created by Dr. Despina Hatzifotiadou head of ALICE Education and Outreach office, the Masterclass exercises are explained in 4 sessions. The videos have been created under the auspices of CERN's e-Learning project.
The Instructions concerning the physics, event - organization and technical requirements of the masterclasses are presented in this document.
The exercise proposed here consists of a search for strange particles, produced from collisions at LHC and recorded by the ALICE experiment. It is based on the recognition of their V0-decays, such as Kos → π+π-, Λ→ p + π- and cascades, such as Ξ- → Λ + π- ( Λ → p + π-).
ALICE Matters is the monthly newsletter of the ALICE experiment.

Characteristics of the Beams and Detectors Facilities utilized by the BL4S competition.
Physicist Pauline Gagnon from Indiana University gives an overview of beams and particles, aimed at those interested in entering CERN's "beam line for schools" competition, which offers high-school students the chance to conduct a real experiment using a CERN proton beam.
