For all of us to survive and prosper, we need new, intelligent urban planning that creates safe, affordable and resilient cities with green and culturally inspiring living conditions. Transport is fundamental for the economy and for our society: not only to go to school or work, but to keep the market alive, guaranteeing the movement of raw materials, goods and services in the world.

The image shows Vincenzo, a student in the second class of the ISIS Europa Institute in Pomigliano D'Arco, concentrated as he builds the gnomon with 3D technology. Innovation, tradition and culture come together in a beautiful project that entertains and teaches at the same time.

We professors also have fun on the day of Eratosthenes' experiment! Walking around the city of Florence, we found the sundial that marks the true solar time of the place where we are. The sundial is located in the Museum of the History of Science and can be admired in all its beauty. The shadow of the glass globe placed on top of the large bronze gnomon indicates the time and date.
