This community and the corresponding demonstrator will introduce teachers in the principles and methodology of creating science exhibits and exhibitions. Teachers will be able to use the proposed methodology to build their own exhibition refering to science topics of their interest. Guidelines: Teachers who wish to proceed in building their own exhibition are encouraged to create their own subcommunity in which they will attach their own demonstrator and resources and invite interested parties
Workshop with students: Introduction to elementary particles followed by hands-on activity with PC’s. The students visualize the particle collisions, study their products and possibly make discoveries. English scenario http://inspiringscience.rdea.gr/delivery/view/index.html?id=41fbf7bc710... Welcome to the iMuSciCA Community of practice. iMuSciCA engages students in innovative interactive music activities with advanced multimodal interfaces to explore different phenomena/laws of physics, mathematics, technology and engineering. It is a pioneering approach using music for fostering creativity and deeper learning, thereby setting new grounds in the European STEAM curricula. The main aim of the ‘Inquiring the Ghost Particle’ demonstrator is to improve pupils’ enjoyment of and attainment in science via inquiry-based investigations. The demonstrator’s objective is to introduce students to the most recent discoveries in the field of particle physics research and enhance their development of inquiry skills by engaging them in reflective processes on the way of scientific inquiry throughout the history of particle physics. This is achieved by providing opportunities for
This community will enable teachers, students and researchers involved in extended collaborative activities. It introducesthem to the field of science through the use of resources and tools bringing together a network of educational communities, eLearning tools and resources and relevant partners of the field. Through the Inspiring Science Education website and the activities organised by the partners, teachers can help students make their own scientific discoveries, witness and understand
This community describes a set of artistic interventions based on impressionism. Students will draw and perform hands on activities in order to comprehend the physics of light and the human perception of color.
Learning from the Extremes is a European Union´s Horizon Framework Program for Preparatory Action - Increasing access to educational tools in areas and communities with low connectivity or access to technologies. The project addresses inequalities of access to digital education by enhancing inclusion and by reducing the digital gap suffered by school communities from remote areas with low connectivity, limited or no access to devices and digital educational tools and content. Learning from the
The educational activity “Learning Science Through Theater” is an initiative of Science View that is carried out annually in cooperation with variable agents (Faculty of Philosophy, Pedagogy and Psychology of National and Κapodistrian University of Athens, Elliniogermaniki Agogi, Noesis Science Center and Technology Museum and more). Students from all grades (primary school – second grade of high school) are expected to dramatize scientific concepts and knowledge from their school curriculum
How can cutting edge science be made simple, fun and engaging? How can we explain complex scientific phenomena to our students and increase their interest in science? In collaboration with CERN, and in the framework of the CREATIONS Project, everyday hundreds of students from all over Greece to explore the LHC interactive tunnel (http://cern.ea.gr). What is the mission of CERN? What is the Higgs Boson and can we imagine a universe without it? What really happens in a high energy particle
Introduction to elementary particles followed by hands-on activity with PCs. The students follow interactively all stages of acceleration of particles by playing an educational game. The MINT-EC Camp in Greece is the continuation / follow-up of the MINT-EC Camp in Freiberg, Sachsen of July 2018. 15 German students will meet with 15 Greek students of the MINT-EC Partner School Ellinogermaniki (EA) to undertake various science projects that EA has been developing as part of its research and cooperation activities with partners from all over Europe. The summer camp will be hosted in the premises of Ellinogermaniki Agogi. The aim of the summer course is to involve students in
In 2017, the Global Science Opera will produce the opera “Moon Village”. The science opera will be performed around the world and streamed online: A year-long creative inquiry shared by schools, universities and art institutions around the planet, in 25 countries. In this sub-community of the CREATIONS project portal, participants will be able to share, acess and even create further materials, ideas, videos, etc., related to the opera production. http://globalscienceopera.com/productions/moon
