Panagiotis Zervas
I have received a Diploma in Electronics and Computer Engineering from the Technical University of Crete, Greece in 2002 and a Master's Degree in Computational Science from the Department of Informatics and Telecommunications of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece in 2004. My research interests focus on Context-Aware Technology-enhanced Learning Systems and Open Licensed Educational Content and Learning Technology Standards I have 12-year professional experience in the development and management of International, European and National projects. I am co-author of 65 scientific publications with at least 80 known citations (h-index 5) and I have received the Best Poster Award in 11th IEEE International Conference on Advanced Learning Technologies (ICALT 2011), Athens, Georgia, USA, July 2011 (with Sofoklis Sotiriou and Demetrios Sampson), the Best Paper Award in 2nd International Conference on Intelligent Networking and Collaborative Systems (INCoS 2010), Thessaloniki, Greece, November 2010 (with Demetrios Sampson), the Best Short Paper Award in 9th IEEE International Conference on Advanced Learning Technologies( ICALT 2009), Riga, Latvia, July 2009 (with Alexandros Kalamatianos and Demetrios Sampson) and the Best Poster Award in 7th IEEE International Conference on Advanced Learning Technologies (ICALT 2007), Niigata, Japan, July 2007 (with Demetrios Sampson and Kerstin Götze). I am member of the Executive Board of the IEEE Technical Committee on Learning Technology, as the Web-Site Management Chair and Technical Manager of the Educational Technology and Society Journal
