“Hatomer” is a six-year elementary school in Acre, Israel.  It was founded in 1960 and has over 220 students. 

“Hatomer” art school puts the child’s uniqueness in the center, focuses on the child as a whole and values all types of intelligence alike (emotional, logical, etc.). 

The school believes art is a primal and instinctive way for humans to express themselves and their individualism, as well as a fundamental communication tool. Art provides more channels for expression, diversifies learning methods and helps students assimilate information and ideas better. 

“Hatomer” leads different initiatives and actions in full collaboration with parents, teachers, and students.  

The school believes in teaching students core values, including cultural values, is crucial for building their individual identities, sense of belonging and confidence. Furthermore, it would help students become more ethical as well as further committed to their society and state.
