Experimental High School of University of Patras

Experimental High School of University of Patras has been established 4 decades ago, belongs in a special category of Pilot Schools and is under the auspices of the University of Patras. The building houses our school is located in the area of University campus of Patras.
Our school has a 20-member highly educated faculty most of them holding doctoral (PhD) or postgraduate (Masters) degrees, and they are characterized for their deep outstanding didactic and pedagogic experience.
The student community comprises one hundred and eighty (180) students. The students of our school are distinguished both for their high performance in hiring and assimilation of the school and their involvement in multilateral programs of innovative actions, such as environmental education, cultural and theatrical education, health education, local history, volunteerism, etc.
Τhe school has a gym, computer lab, video room, conference room, reading room, and a well-equipped physics lab, and is surrounded by nature, away from the city Centre.
Experimental High School of University of Patras aims to incorporate all modern pedagogical techniques. Clusters of excellence, Innovative Programs, Interdisciplinary approaches to Educational articles, Laboratory and Experimental Approaches Science are some of the pedagogical and educational actions are implemented.
Students experience a new approach to knowledge through empirical experiences, experimentation and empiricism. At the same time, the knowledge it acquires new dimensions through interdisciplinarity. Clusters of excellence are introducing students to the world of the arts and sciences through processes of sportsmanship and healthy competition. The adequately equipped laboratories of Informatics and Science contribute to the high level of training of pupils.
On the other hand, teachers are evaluated and selected under strict criteria, cognitive, educational and professional competency. The vast majority of teachers hold Graduate Diplomas and doctoral titles. Beyond their studies our staff is continuously compiled and informed in order to incorporate new educational techniques, while they are participating in Conferences and training activities. The knowledge gained from the training activities returns to students, while qualified teachers become multipliers. The teachers of the Experimental High School of University of Patras consists a dynamic cell within the educational community constantly interacting developmentally.
Around this time the students have succeeded in many actions, have excelled and progressed in his studies. Participations and distinctions in national and international competitions have brought our students many distinctions.  The school in recent years has incorporated new educational techniques as experiential activities, clubs, innovative programs and processes excellence. All teachers of the school have been evaluated, while students are introduced in recent years with UPS. Also many notable members of society, both in the region of Patras and in our country and abroad are graduates of our school.
The Experimental High School of University of Patras seeks to establish itself as a school of Future. Towards this direction, we believe that Mobility Programs can contribute greatly to the achievement of our objectives.
Nowadays Experimental High School of University of Patras is coordinating a KA1 project titled: "Experimental High School of University of Patras, is envisioning its future" under the code 2017-1-EL01-KA101-035471 and the KA2 ERASMUS+ project titled: "ASTRONOMY FOR BLIND AND DISABLED", code: 2017‐1‐EL01‐KA201‐036255.
