School   10 members

The Primary School of Chalandritsa is located in the southern part of Achaia in the homonymous village of Chalandritsa of the Municipality of Erymanthos, which is 24 km away from the city center of Patras. It is one of the eight Primary Schools that exist in the Municipality of Erymanthos. The school's student population consists of students coming from neighboring villages. This mobility is a distinctiveness of the school unit. The percentage of foreign students is minimal, while the percentage of Roma students covers about 11% of the entire student community. The vast majority of parents regardless of the villages are engaged in agriculture and livestock farming. Their level of education is largely limited to that of elementary education and a minimum of tertiary education.

The Primary School operates in a new school, which was built in 2007. It is located at the highest point of the village, next to the Archaeological Site of the Mycenaean Settlement. Today it operates with six (6) classes. It has an All-Day Department, an Integration Department and an Interdisciplinary Support Committee which consists of a psychologist and a social worker. They work closely with students, teachers and parents in order to support and deal with any learning disabilities and behavioral issues that various students may have. The school is co-located with the Kindergarten of Chalandritsa.
