SEA, FISH, OLIVES AND WINE 3

We were in the beautiful picturesque town of Sali which is the administrative center of the island Dugi otok with the most inhabitants. The place has developed excursion, nautical and sports tourism. With its tourist facilities, close proximity to the Telašćica Nature Park and the Kornati National Park, Sali is an ideal place to relax, which we have seen for ourselves.  Sali has a long fishing tradition. The Mardešić canned fish factory is located in the place. In the conversation with the responsible person, we got answers to the questions that producers face, how they dispose of food waste, what challenges they have with placing food on the market, what they do in terms of reducing the carbon footprint and how they support sustainable development.
