Background
Breakfast plays a major role in managing hunger for the entire day. Also, eating breakfast may avoid
(during the journey) faintness, tired feeling, concentration problems…
Aim
To raise awareness about the importance of eating breakfast.
o To identify healthy recipes and optimal ways to take breakfast at home.
Co-creation with societal actors
Invite a nutritionist to learn students about the benefits of breakfast.
Invite students to lead a discussion with the nutritionist about the composition of healthy
breakfast and its benefits for healthy lifestyle.
After this session with nutritionist, each student discusses with their colleagues its habitudes
related to eat breakfast and how the interview/meeting with nutritionist can be useful for
changing/correction of his/her behavior.
Implementation
During a week, each student will prepare cards (card per day) for the composition of his/her
breakfast and eating manner (with family? Alone? Duration? Pleasure? …).
After this week, students were asking to present and discuss about the results of the above-
mentioned exercise.
Select jointly 3 cards that are reflecting good and healthy breakfast.
Reflection
Ask students to engage discussions with their families about benefits of the intake of healthy
breakfast at home.
Futurel Plans
Organize, at the school canteen, collective breakfasts (at least 4 by scholar year) for students.
