Structure of the Atom

1
Students learn about the structure of matter and elementary particles. They learn about atoms and molecules, how atoms are formed and how they are held together. Later they apply their knowledge to an interactive game trying to create atoms of various elements. The interactive game requires Adobe Flash to be installed. You can use the Chrome browser that has built-in Flash support. English scenario: http://inspiringscience.rdea.gr/delivery/view/index.html?id=879a6ec46e3b4b3aa30b61a7f90e56c5&t=p

CREATIONS Srbija

6

OSOS best practices / accelerators

This community is the workspace and the area for the partners to upload and publish the Accelerators that are created in the project.

CREATIONS demonstrator_ PEER FORCE: peer learning with audience interaction

5    |    Science
This community is build around the demonstrator PEER FORCE: peer learning with audience interaction. The demonstrator illustrates an educational activity based on Creativity - enriched Inquiry Based Approach to STEM learning with special focus on peer learning and co-creation (within the group that performs but also with the audience) together with elements of embodied learning, through movement and stage performance.

Discover ths Cosmos Summer School 2017

35    |    Science
The aim of the course is to enhance science education by presenting the fabric of the cosmos as was shaped by scientific evidence and explanations through 400 years of scientific advancement. This is the place where yu can upload your own resources, educational scenarios and lesson plans!

CERN's Beam Line for Schools Competition

5
CERN is offering high-school students from around the world the chance to create and perform a scientific experiment on a CERN accelerator beamline. What better way to learn about physics? CERN is famous for the discovery of the Higgs boson and the invention of the World Wide Web, but there is much more to the laboratory than that. A large part of CERN’s research and development is carried out at so-called fixed-target beamlines. These projects range from investigating the inner workings of

Tjødnalio Culture Weeks

1
Tjødnalio school at Stord, Norway has a long tradition of ending the school year with the whole school engaging in a large culutral process and events. This year, the school collaborated with the CREATIONS project to produce a new experience for the school and a new demonstration for the CREATIONS project! The result was an Art/Science festival with 220 pupils, including an opera about supernovae.

Our community is created for presenting our attempts to get kids acquainted with physics and by using interactive ways we try to make this field more fascinating for them through workshops and presentations at hotels and schools of our region.

The Sound of the Earth

5
The standard way to depict earthquakes and explain their characteristics, has been the use of “snapshots” of the waveforms measured by seismic stations across the earth. By studying and combining the information obtained by these static images, scientists are able to understand the properties of earthquakes, as well as discover the properties of their sources as well as their generation mechanism. However, using these visual displays alone presents the problem of properly explaining even the

Cosmic Rays in the Classroom

7
In August 1912, Austrian physicist Victor Hess made a historic balloon flight that opened a new window on matter in the universe. As he ascended to 5300 metres, he measured the rate of ionization in the atmosphere and found that it increased to some three times that at sea level. He concluded that penetrating radiation was entering the atmosphere from above. He had discovered cosmic rays. These high-energy particles arriving from outer space are mainly (89%) protons – nuclei of hydrogen, the

Learning about Light through Impressionism
