Tactile maps are a conversion system of visual information in tactile information’s. A map is just a representation of space and the relationship of two or more points in that space. Tactile maps are very useful for visually impaired /blind people because helps theme to orientate and obtain information about environment. Maps used in spatial orientation helps visually impaired people to move independently and learn by themselves about the surroundings. It offers a spatial structuring of environment to an accessible scale of touch/exploration without disturbing factors who can disorientate theme.
