In the first stage, the students filmed areas with waste in the city. The mapping results will be passed on to the planning department for further investigation and treatment.
Additionally:
1. We uploaded a TikTok video.
2. The student council, together with members of the elected committee, They conducted an activity on the topic "Take the garbage with you" for all the classes (around 350 students in junior high) in Tu Beshvat (5-6th of February).
3. An activity were helded for 30 elementary students.
4. We met for a thinking group with parents, and a representative of the authority to propose ideas for expanding the campaign. In the thinking group, the students presented to the community representatives what they had done so far. The parents rated the students' proposals in two categories feasible or not feasible.
An example of some of the ideas:
Placing bins in urban parks to encourage children to use them. Installing a waste sorting machine in commercial centers. Installing a machine in food centers that gives money for waste that the public brings to it.
Holding a meeting with the responsible person for the industrial area in the city to promote the waste management of businesses and factory owners,

The chosen idea for implementation is raising awareness through an educational campaign using the network (the video on YouTube) and elementary activities. The reason this idea was chosen is that we agreed that education is the beginning and end of everything and if today's children are educated to think of waste as a resource that can be managed in a circular economy, they will grow up to be citizens who know how to manage properly, considering the environment for future generations.

We are the "Trashers", 9th graders in Ort Igal Alon school, in Nof Hagalil.
In our school, we are taught to keep a clean environment and we study in science class about sustainability.
We think that this topic is very important and should be taught to as many people as possible.
Nof Hagalil is a clean city where people make sure to keep a clean environment. This city is highly ranked for its beauty and cleanness, and even during vacations, the mayor encourages pupils to keep the environment clean.

Keys are made of a bio-polymer plastic material that is biodegradable and does not harm the quality of the environment, which we will produce at school with a 3D printer. Later it will be possible to contact commercial companies producing such a holder for each resident.
