A newsletter published by Apoplous.org during a 3-year research study of thin clients in primary education (Cyprus). Between 2005 - 2008, a one to one ratio was achieved in a primary school in Cyprus, using thin clients and open source software to assess their impact in lowering the total cost of ownership of computers in education.
In this issue we examine the beginnings of the OLPC organisation, the Nexenta OS, Digital Content Development, Multimedia tools for students and we take a look at Lotus Learning Management System.
