3rd Extended Primary School of Zografos

The 3rd Primary School of Zografou is a public Primary School in a suburb 5km away from the Greek capital centre. It numbers 291 pupils of 6-12 years of age and 32 members of teaching staff. It has got a long tradition in national and European projects and has gained the local community respect as a small but dynamic educational institution. Since it is located very close to the University of Athens, it hosts future Greek, English and French teachers for their practicum period every year. The school has  implemented two Comenius multilateral project (SEP Students’ Environment Parliament 2007-2009 and ABC The Art of Being a Child 2011-2013) and two Erasmus+KA1 project (STEPS through Erasmus+ 2014-2015, the second is currently running BASICS for Democracy focusing on the development of the democratic school idea), has run many e-Twinning projects and received National and European Quality Labels. The school can boast of a collaborative culture and strong bonds with the local community and the Parents’ Board. Moreover, an experienced pedagogic group of 16 teachers which implements European projects are ready to work on new project ideas and contribute to their successful outcome.
