Through the use of video examples, Vernier Video Physics, and My Solar System PhET Simulation, student analyze centripetal force and acceleration as it applies to the circular planetary orbits. They will derive an equation by combining centripetal force with the Universal Law of Gravitation to determine the mass of Sun.
