Frequently Asked Questions

1. How a project become final?

Only the students can make a project final and after filling all the phases of the project. A project, even if this is marked as final, can be still edited and updated by the Teacher (adding feedback) and by the Students (updating the content of the project).

2. How many students can edit a project?

There is no limit in the number of the students that can edit a project.

3. What is the content that is published in the portal for the final projects?

For the final projects, the following content is published:

  • The information added by the Teachers for the Summary of the project
  • The content that was added by the students in each phase of the project.

Please, note that the Guidelines and the Feedback that are provided by the Teachers when creating and editing a project are only visible to the students and they are not presented as public information to the community.

4. How a Self-Reflection and School Development plan is submitted (finalized)?

The precondition to submit a Self-Reflection and a School Development Plan is (a) to fill all the fields and (b) to press “Save”. After this, the “Submission” is activated and they can be sent as final ones.

5. How do I make a Teacher a School Manager?

Only the National Coordinators have the right to set a Manager for a School in the portal, by editing the profile of the School and adding the username of the relevant Teacher to the corresponding field. When typing the username in the box, the names of the users that match are presented in a list and the National Coordinator needs to select the correct one and then Save the form.

6. How a Teacher can upload the logo of the project?

The logo is added in a project by the Students while editing the phase FEEL of the project.

7. How a project can become an Accelerator?

The Teachers in the portal are not privileges to upload Accelerators, but only the National Coordinators. In this case, please, contact the portal administrator through contact_ods@intrasoft-intl.com OR http://portal.opendiscoveryspace.eu/en/contact

8. How a project is related with a school?

The relation is automatically produced if the Teacher that initiated the project has already defined his/her School under the Profile (http://portal.opendiscoveryspace.eu/en/my-area) and following the “Account Settings” option.

9. How a project is related with an Accelerator?

This relation is built once the user selects to “Copy” an Accelerator from the portal by selecting the relevant option in the summary page of an Accelerator.

10. Who can see the Reports for the Self-Reflections and the School Development plans?

The actual content and the full reports are only visible to the School Managers, the National Coordinators and the People from the Consortium that are responsible for leading and following the implementation of this Task. This information do now become public.

11. Who can upload projects?

The Teaches are privileged only to create projects in the portal. The National Coordinators can also upload projects to support the entire activity and also create new Accelerators for the project.

12. How a Teacher is related with a School?

A Teacher can add his/her School in the profile by selecting the “Account Settings”. The profile is accessible through the name of the user (appeared after login) in the right top corner or directly by the http://portal.opendiscoveryspace.eu/en/my-area.
