The third issue of the Open Schools Journal for Open Science

The third issue of the Open Schools Journal for Open Science

We are proud to share with you the third issue of the Open Schools Journal for Open Science. This issue presents nine articles written by students and teachers/mentors in Greece, Finland, Spain, Ireland, Bulgaria, Portugal, Italy, the Netherlands and Israel from the Open Schools for Open Societies European project (OSOS).

An open school, according to OSOS, is a more engaging environment for learning and makes a vital contribution to the community: student projects meet real needs in the community outside school and draw upon local expertise and experience. This type of school engagement with the local community is evident in all the OSJOS articles in this 3rd issue.

We are also happy to present three articles from Greek students who are sharing their science projects on 3D printing, air pollution and Ecology.

The Open Schools Journal for Open Science is the first European peer review scientific journal which accepts original papers written by school age students from Primary to Secondary schools across Europe under the mentoring of their Teachers on all aspects of Science, Engineering and Technology. Students and Teachers via school projects produce scientific data that are invited to be published in this journal.  The Journal publishes articles on a regular basis. Publication is free of charge and the Journal carries articles in English.
