B16a Record nature

Some sounds in nature are unfamiliar either because they are too faint to be heard, or because the source is in a place where people do not normally go. An acoustic signal picked up by specially-designed microphones can be converted into an electric signal to yield optimal sound reproduction. The microphone must be adapted to the sound that is meant to be recorded, be they sounds under the sea, distant sounds to be isolated, or atmosphere sounds. Applying constantly-improved recording techniques, skills, enthusiasm and a great deal of patience, one can capture these precious sounds in nature.
