A unit elaborating why objects appear in different colours.

White light is made up of different wavelengths or colours of light. Certain objects or materials cause the colours of light to separate. If certain colours of light are combined, you get white light. Things appear to be different colours because materials absorb certain colours of light and reflect others (and those are the ones our eyes see). Light is a form of energy that we can see.
