Students will measure the Earth’s circumference based on Eratosthenes’ experiment, which he carried out at 3rd century B.C.

This activity enables students to measure the radius of Earth. Groups of students at two distant schools will take data and then collaborate, in essentially the same way that Eratosthenes measured Earth’s circumference millennia ago in Egypt.

Sun observation data show that sunspots do not appear at random over the surface of the sun but are concentrated in two latitude bands on either side of the equator.

Περιλαμβάνει δραστηριότητες που ενθαρρύνουν τη συμμετοχή των παιδιών στη γνωστική διαδικασία, αξιοποίηση ποικίλων πηγών γνώσης και δραστηριοτήτων εκτός σχολικού εγχειριδίου και καταγραφή και παρουσίαση των αποτελεσμάτων της εργασίας των παιδιών από τα ίδια τα παιδιά.
