Kääpa Basic School

Kool   1 member

Kääpa basic school is situated in South Estonia, near Võru town in a rural area. The first records of regular school work in Kääpa date back to 1835.

We put as much effort as possible into making equal opportunities and good education a reality for every child. The school has joined the movement of entrepreneurial schools in Estonia, the environmental programme GLOBE and the Bullying Free Schools programme. The school provides compulsory 9-year education. There are 160 pupils aged 7-16 in nine classes and in one class for students with special needs.

We are proud of our good pupils, friendly and hard-working teachers, helpful parents, extra-curricular activities and international partnerships. Our school has long-term experience in taking part in and coordinating projects. International cooperation has been part of our school’s development plans since 1999. We have partner schools in five European countries.
