Kool 2 membersExperimental School of the University of Thessaloniki is a special public school which is supervised by Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Since 2012, school was supervised by a professor of the Faculty of Philosophy and Education (AUTh), who was appointed by the Senate of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Since January 2012, supervisor is appointed by the Ministry of Education, Research and Religious Affairs. Experimental School provides practical training to students of Faculty of Philosophy and other faculties. It is an institution where the educational, research and training projects of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki are carried out. Teachers are appointed directly by the Ministry of Education, Research and Religious Affairs, in order to ensure high quality education. Experimental School caters for all levels of education: nursery, primary, lower secondary and upper secondary education. About 70 teachers are employed in various subjects, with a total number of 450 students aged 5 to 18. Students are randomly selected at the age of 5 (for kindergarten ) and they continue till university enrollment. The staff consists of teachers with premium qualifications. The Experimental School was founded in 1929 and started its teaching course in 1934. Today, the Experimental School, on the one hand, has to face the responsibilities, which come as a consequence of its glorious past. On the other, it aims to look for solutions to a number of many -some of them quite complicated- problems that constantly arise in the present age.
