Does Money = Happiness ?

This is an international project between my students of the 4th grade (High School Lazarevac) and students from USA. They will investigate the relationship between wealth (per capita income) and other social indicators.

Students will work in teams with the unknown students from other country. They will surfer trough the net looking for the information. They will use the English language for a communication with USA students. They will learn to use educational portal edmodo. During the project students will analyze statistical data and draw conclusions based on it.

Where is a math in the jobs of our parents ?

During the education, students ask themselves so many times : ‘’Why do I have to learn this?’’ Only parents and teachers together can convince them that the things they’re learning now, tomorrow they will use at work or in everyday life. The main idea is to invite parents who use math in their job to explain how math helps them in solving specific problems.

Tokom školovanja učenici često sebe pitaju : ''Zašto ovo učimo???'' Samo roditelji i nastavnici zajedno ih mogu ubediti u dobrobiti učenja i obrazovanja uopšte.

Ideja je da se roditelji angažuju na dobrovoljnoj bazi i učestvuju tokom izlaganja nekih lekcija iz matematike a koje imaju primenu u njihovom poslu.

Napr. roditelj koji je ekonomista može objasniti primenu procenata, kamatnog računa, roditelj koji je inženjer može opisati gde se sve koriste trigonometrijske funkcije...
