Sara Anjos

I have worked in astronomy outreach and in science education for several years, producing, developing, implementing and promoting numerous activities in formal and informal learning settings, for astronomy and for science and technology subjects. Certified by the Scientific and Pedagogical Council of Continuous Training (University of Minho) in areas related to the Organization of Educational System, Design and Organization of Educational Projects and Evaluation Practices, I am specialized in the design, management and control of training activities, for children and adults, and in the design of strategic plans in order to improve the quality of learning. Multidisciplinary collaborations and professional work have given me a broaden experience of the different aspects of outreach and education. I am a member of European Association for Astronomy Education and of Nucleus for Studies on Communication, Science and Environment at University of Minho. I have a degree in Astronomy (Physics/Applied Mathematics from the University of Porto ), a M.Sc. in Educational Sciences and a MBA - Master Business Administration with specialization in Information Systems and e-Business. Currently working for NUCLIO – Núcleo interativo de Astronomia as Project Coordinator of EU SPACE AWARENESS and developing a research, at a PhD level, on the impact of Science Communication and Informal Science Education (SC&ISE) activities, focusing on Astronomy and Space.
