Usando o mesmo tipo de dados e ferramentas usados pelos cientistas planetários, ao longo desta actividade, os alunos terão a oportunidade de vivenciar a emoção da descoberta, enquanto aprendem sobre as diferenças e semelhanças geológicas entre os vários planetas telúricos.

Os alunos utilizarão imagens de satélite e dados topográficos para comparar várias estruturas geológicas presentes na superfície terrestre com estruturas análogas que ocorrem na superfície da Lua, Mercúrio, Vénus e Marte.

Using the same type of data and tools used by the planetary scientists, along this activity, students will experience the thrill of discovery while learning about the geological similarities and differences between the terrestrial planet’s surface.

Students will use satellite images and topographic data to compare several geological landforms and features that occur on Earth with those on the surface of the Moon, Mercury, Venus and Mars.
