Reut is a six-year elementary school in Gedera, Israel. The school has 472 students. Ruet strives to teach it’s students the values of democracy and encourages them to apply those values to their to daily life.
Following the democratic spirit of the school, it aims to maintain dialogue between all members of its community.
The vision of the school consists of seven main principles and values it wishes its students to have when they graduate:

Respect: Students should respect their fellow human beings, the environment, community, etc. They should treat anyone with compassion, appreciation, fairness, and patience regardless of their differences.

Responsibility: students should take full responsibility for their academic and personal growth. They should show a moral commitment to improving themselves and their community.

Freedom of speech: including skills like critical thinking, asking questions as well as an emphasis on authenticity

Choice: students should have the ability to make well-thought-out choices in every aspect of their personal life.

Solidarity: students should express care, consideration and concern to their fellow human beings, their people and country as well as to the future generations.
