Background
Do you know how it’s important to determine the quality of olive oil?
In this learning session we will distinguish the rancid, moldy oil and fruity and high-quality olive oil by sensory
sessions.
Aim
The aim is to Identify and distinguish the quality of olive oil and to determine the importance of choosing a good quality of olive oil.
Co-creation with societal actors
Show the teens some olive oil samples.
Establishment of sensory session in sensory analysis room
Contact and visit olive oil producers. The teens ask the producers about types of varieties,
production process and packaging.

Implementation
Use sensory analysis results to obtain the olive oil quality perception of teens.
the teens discuss in groups about the impacts on health of consuming high quality olive oil
and vis versa.
Reflection
Ask the teens to explant what they learned in the learning scenario.
