Background
Students are not aware of the advantages of ancient eating habits that are aligned with MD and
need to learn about MD.
Ask your students about eating habits and fast food.
Ask your students if they know the Mediterranean diet and its principles. Discuss the MD pyramid.
Aim
o Familiarise students with MD advantages and some unhealthy fast food commonly
consumed.
o Help students to adopt a healthy eating habit into their lifestyle.
o Identify the Mediterranean diet and discuss its benefits.
o Raise awareness about the importance of healthy diet and look for healthy replacement of
fast food.
Co-creation with societal actors
A nutritionist is invited to discuss with students about their dietary habits and fast food.
Discuss tasty meals as a replacement.
Implementation
o Students will have an assignment to search on eating habits and fast food.
o Back to the classroom, students will discuss the findings.
o In Classroom, a general discussion will be done on the MD eating habits advantages
based on the visit and/or interview of the nutritionist and some interesting replacements of
Fast food.
o Organize a day on healthy fast food where a shared lunch will be help with students.
o Preparation of a flyer with selected fast-food Meals as replacement of unhealthy fast food.
Reflection
Students reflect on MD advantages Vs fast food and present the flyers to at the school and
other school and discuss with them the benefits of the proposed healthy fast food.
Futurel Plans
Students will prepare a special event on healthy fast food and MD .
Distribute final version of the Flyers among the families and the local community.
