Monet project

Hosted by OSOS , contributed by NEMO teachers … on 8 January 2019

Pupils have little affection for art and culture. Through a combination of subjects (territorial,
history, French and visual education) and cooperation with the Rijksmuseum Enschede, we try to inspire
the pupils to become enthusiastic. A variety of work methods, personalised and inquisitive learning
enables pupils to be activated. The pupils go into the life of Monet, his works and various places where
he has been. Groups will give a presentation about 1 of the facets of the life and works of Monet. In
addition, they make a painting in the state museum and the presentations will also be held there, for
parents and other interested parties.

One of the key aspects of OSOS is the inclusion of RRI — Responsible Research and Innovation — principles (more information at RRI-Tools.eu). This is how this project fits into the RRI model:

Governance: students have to work out the assignments in groups

Public ngagement: responsibilitie lies more with school, but the Rijksmuseum has a share.

Gender equality:

Science education:

Ethics:

Open acess:

Learning Objectives
Students learn to look at art in a different way.
