In the footsteps of the Teutonic Knights saving nature

Hosted by OSOS , contributed by silviatataru on 9 July 2021

More than 800 years have passed since the arrival of the Teutonic Knights in Ţara Bârsei and as many since the attestation of the Black Fortress, located on the southwestern slope of the Magura in Codlea, at an altitude of 980 meters.
On the occasion of this event, we thought it would be appropriate to renew the tourist routes in the area and to conduct a thorough research (geographical, biological, historical and cultural) of them.
The objective of these activities will be to sensitize the local community on the development of tourism potential in the area and its inclusion in the national tourism circuit, thus being the basis for many projects to attract European funds that could be used to restore some of these tourism objectives. as well as the awareness of the population on the danger that looms over the fauna and flora in our area.
Students will be divided into groups. They will choose:
 - a certain research topic - biological, geographical, historical, cultural
 - the optimal route to travel between the initial and final destination of the route.
At the end of the research, a tourist map of the route will be created, as well as a presentation of the route from a geographical, biological, historical and cultural point of view, a presentation that will be exposed in front of the representatives of the community of Codlea.
Learning Objectives
awareness of the importance of the surrounding nature and of history in our becoming as future builders of a new clean society, from all points of view
Identifying problems and discussions with people able to help us discover solutions
Creating the organizational plan for fulfilling the work tasks
Creating project-specific materials: brochure, presentation map
presenting the results of the project and evaluating its impact
