
This is a document that presents the results of a global survey conducted by UNESCO and Education International on the motivation, skills, and opportunities of teachers to teach education for sustainable development and global citizenship. The document reveals the views and experiences of more than 10,000 teachers from 34 countries on how they approach these topics in their classrooms, what challenges they face, and what support they need. The document also provides recommendations for policy-makers, educators, and other stakeholders on how to enhance the capacity and engagement of teachers in promoting education for sustainable development and global citizenship.
