This document reports the efforst in Portugal to introduce flexibility in the curriculum and autonomy to schools on its adoption. It highlights the importance of providing schools and teachers with greater autonomy in shaping the curriculum in order to meet the local needs and improve the students engagement. It stresses the importance of a flexible curriculum to allow a more personalised learning experience to the students.  An interesting case to be adopted by schools across the world.
