During this scenario, students will become familiar with the use of satellite data to characterize the spatiotemporal distribution of anthropogenic disturbances to the physical environment and the ecosystems. The scope is to address different geospatial concepts that are mainly laying on the concepts of pattern recognition, spatial clustering or dispersion and spatial dependency and autocorrelation. These terms might seem complex or difficult, however, they consist of some fundamental pillars of the Geo-related fields.
