Cyberbullying Flash Mob and other actions

Hosted by OSOS , contributed by Elena Elliniadou on 12 July 2018

Students create a project on safer internet issues, bullying and cyberbulling to arise awareness, repsonsibility, empathy, emotional intellingence of the school community. They participate in experiential activities, make video clips, inspire their schoolmates and dance to state and make public their position against bullying and in favour of equality, diversity, and acceptance.

Learning Objectives
To arise awareness on bullying issues

Students share experiences or watch video of bullying cases and feel and express emotions, opinions, empathy, ideas, evaluation of the situation.

Students get in the shoes of every participant on a bullying case-study and express feelings, attitude, thoughts, ways out of trapped behaviours from all sides.

Design next steps and decide the way they will express the remodelling and refuting of the bullying incidents.

Design and create video clips where incidents are shown in a pre and post state. Correct the bullying behavior and by standers take action instead of silence and secret acceptance. They share with their classmates in a web platform and give and accept comments.

Prepare a flash mob to present their activity and their resistance to bullying either on the web or in school and society.

Students prepare an evening project presentation to show their activites, plans, ideas for school, classmates, parents, local community.

They also give their flash mob in a public place (airport, metro, city square, museum backyard, port) to engage local community and deliver the message of acceptance of diversity and show that young students can change the inequalities of this world.
