Yavne is a six-year religious elementary school in Ra’anana, Israel. It was founded in 1960 and currently has over 400 students.

The school’s main beliefs and guidelines are:

  • Teaching core values in Judaism such as patriotism, generosity, modesty, respect and following the “Mitzvot” (commandments).

  • Encouraging students to be involved members of society - to contribute, volunteer and participate all while keeping values of brotherly love and respect.

  •   Generating genuine curiosity and interest as a means to motivate students to develop valuable learning skills, tools, and methods which will help students become independent learners.

  • Seeing each and every student as a special individual and maximizing their potential as well as evaluating them based on their personal advancement.

  • Providing help, tutoring, and resources to any students who might require them.

  • Striving towards academic, social and ethical excellence.

  • Implementing principles of democracy- “Yavne” believes that the teaching of democracy cannot be solely based on theoretical learning and therefore incorporates democratic practices and values into everyday life at the school.

  • Strengthening the connection between the students and Israel using different activities and programs.

  • Establishing a partnership between the school and the parents based on transparency, honesty, and solidarity.
