During the last year we have been studying and promoting solutions and awareness to the issue of reducing and optimizing energy consumption.
During the year we were exposed to various environmental challenges and chose to respond to a topic that we found interested
We operate as part of the Ministry of Education's and SALL's project, guided by the Ort network, during which we chose to engage in maintaining the cleanliness of hiking trails
We studied the subject in science classes and in meetings with pensioners who come to volunteer in our school. The talks were very interesting because they worked in the field.
We shared our teachers and our friends in our ideas.
We love to go to different trips and asked our friends what they do with their waste.
We all like to go out and travel. Some of us are guides in the youth movement. Unfortunately, the issue of trash collection still challenges travelers who are forced to take their trash with them. We realized that education and raising awareness is not enough, it is also important to give travelers a solution.
The solution we thought of is to produce a pouch that connects to the bag and is divided into two parts - one side for unorganic waste and the other side for organic waste with a surface that absorbs the liquids. Our solution can make it possible to carry leftover of organic food until the end of the trip without fearing drips and unpleasant smells.
We consulted with the director of the environmental department in the council. In the next two weeks we are supposed to meet with additional representatives from the council to think together about additional ways in which we can raise awareness of the issue.
We intend to test our solution both on school trips and on youth movement trips through a survey and observing the behavior of our friends.
