This project aimed to change the attitudes and behaviors of students, parents/guardians and the rest of the community. It brought awareness to the importance of reusing materials, saving raw materials and energy, avoiding environmental pollution and reducing the need for conventional waste treatment. Their interdisciplinary planning emerged from the articulation and interaction that was established among parents/guardians, students and teachers from several subjects of the curriculum
•In general, it consisted on giving a new "life" to materials that would go to the recycling bin or to the waste.
This project was developed by the class “E” of the 5th grade (students between 10 and 12 years old), of the School “E.B.2nd and 3rd cycles Manuel de Figueiredo” from Torres Novas-Portugal.
