The Blue World Institute and geography teacher have teamed up on the international project SALL to the theme of Food. In the 8th grade, a series of workshops on "Food from our island" were conducted. However, educator Ivana Šeparović found a solution in recording a video interview with olive grower Marko Hirsch from the island of Lošinj and shepherd Franjo Toić and bagpipe player Dario Kučić from the island of Cres. The videos were placed in the online classroom for the students, with whom they were given certain teaching tasks. After returning to school, on May 21st, we went to the bay of Sveti Martin where we welcomed the return from the sea of fisherman Danijel Rerečić with whom we talked about the catch, the types of fishing tools and the problems fisherman face. The final part of the project "Food from our island" bring the from students 8.a class in Loznati to the only cheese factory on the our islands. They learned about the process of processing sheep's milk into cheese from milking to the final product.
