Introduction

GSO4SCHOOL project offers two workshops for teachers focused on the way Music can be a substantial part of a scene for the Global Science Opera. Teachers that are interested in enhancing their abilities to integrate advanced Music characteristics into their scene can participate.

The main task of these workshops is to introduce the notions of sonification and leitmotiv as tools for transforming scientific content into musical expression. Although the content of the workshop is about the use of music notation and music performance through physical or digital instruments, the proposed approach may allow other means of musical interpretation as long as the connection between the scientific notion and the artisitic creation is fully justified.

The initial ideas upon which the workshop will be based are mentioned in the GSO 2022 booklet.

Zoom links will be announced to the participants via email or Global Science Opera newsletter.
