Awareness of a Water footprint

Objective: Raise awareness of having water footprint

Student group of 13 year olds

22 students in total

Partnered with a local primary school

• Placed: Students are aware of how much water is needed to produce products. Links to local & global waste of water.

Purposeful: They realise & recognise that  every small change that they can attribute to makes an impact.

Passion-led: Students chose foods / products of choice to research & propose their own choice for the class display.

Pervasive:  Research to involve discussions with families on how they can conserve water & introduce them to the idea of a water footprint.

Learning Objectives
Increase awareness of sustainability with regard to water, conservation of water and why we need to conserve water. The awareness that each product has a water footprint . How to calculate a water footprint for their foods or products.
