Kantakaupungin koulu (Kantakaupunki school)

Kantakaupunki school is located in the municipality of Kristiinankaupunki, which has a population of about 6 400 in the Ostrobothnia region of western Finland. Kristiinankaupunki is a bilingual municipality, with 41.3% of the population speaking Finnish and 53.7% speaking Swedish.

Kantakaupunki school is the only primary school in the area that offers Finnish language education. The school currently has around 200 students. 

The aim of Kantakaupunki school's LfE-project was to improve the digitalization of the school and the inequality between schools in the local community. Digital equipment was purchased, which helped to develop students' ability to use equipment to support learning and to diversify learning. Teachers' professional skills were improved through training.
