Video Physics (for mobile devices) - Doppler effect phenomenon

A video analysis of a car motion along with the recording of its passing sound will be used to observe the Doppler Effect. Students can take or use a video of a moving object, mark its position frame by frame, and set up the scale using a known distance. Video Physics will display the path of the moving object (e.g. F1 in Schools Car, basketball shoot) and provide graphs of Y vs X as well as the X and Y position and velocity as a function of time. Students can measure the velocity of the moving object; perform on-the-go analysis of the motion, and share video, graphs and data to Facebook, to their photo library and or to their computer. Since the demonstrator could cover more than one didactical unit, the sample topic above (one didactical unit) was selected for the needs of the first phase of application.
