IES Sedaví

IES Sedavi, located very next to the Mediterranean city of Valencia,  is an educational public centre with 47 teachers and 454 students from 12 to 18 years old. 35 of the teachers are career officers definitely considered as the professional staff in our school, which is a key to a guarantee of success of long term projects. Our school is making effort to be opened to Europe. There is a great interest in innovation, so in the latest years we have been working on it , especially in topics such as cohabitation, key competencies, introduction of ICTs in our daily practice. Our PAF (Staff Training Programme) has been centred in acquisition of  competences for plurilingualism , improving and learning ICTs, and modernizing our school.

In our school two languages cohabit (Valencià   and Castilian) which means we are  respectful and opened to linguistic diversity. All our students study English and the most part of them study also French. We are already a  multilingual centre. Nowadays we are starting to use English and French  as a working language, preparing to the imminent effective date of educative multilingual laws in our country.

In order to open our school to Europe we have  created a four teachers commission ( three of them are part of the School Management Team) in order to work in  the process of opening to Europe and  taking part of Erasmus + programs. We are combining this with E twinning projects.
