"Build your own seismograph" school contest for Greek Schools

Ellinogermaniki Agogi and the Geodynamic Institute of the National Observatory of Athens, with the support of the Institute of Educational Policy, organized the school contest "Build Your Own Seismograph" for students in Greek schools, in the framework of the “Open School for Open Societies” and “School Networks Alert Citizens Protection” projects. Groups of students, in collaboration with their teachers, have built an improvised seismograph and recorded the process in a presentation accompanied by audiovisual material. The ten projects that have stand out are presented by their respective school teams at a special event held in the framework of the Athens Science Festival on Friday 5th of April at Technopolis in Athens at 10.00. 44 schools for all over Greece participated in the contest that took place for the third year.
