How to revive The Story

- The basic idea is to create QR codes that will be deployed throughout the city. Codes can be scanned with mobile phones and contain links to maps that allow visitors to learn and see specific locations in the city, as well as how long takes walk for the selected route. In addition, it is envisaged to create a parallel site that will contain a gallery of images and panoramas certain places for visitors over the internet.

- The Story was presented to students as a preparatory activity which aims to introduce them to the project task. This preparatory action through imagination simulates real life problem and leads them to the question - What are the possible solutions? Having left a day for reflection, tasks were set to the students. Its role is to introduce students the real problem, the tools that they can use, as well as Rubrics. Rubrics contain the skeleton of the task and the parameters that will be evaluated in this project.

- Rubrics include information about the organization of students within the group (role). Based on the feature it is clearly given to understand what is expected of that role (there are elements of teamwork, but there is no rotation).

- For the realization of the tasks it is necessary that everyone plays their role for each part of the task as individual, so that everyone can give their best. Individual tasks are designed in the way that there should be horizontal connections of students in the group (team), and the work of others depends on each individual. Therefore, the students can learn other (students) and from each other, help each other and create a common solutions. In this way it is ensured cooperative learning in groups (student-student).

- The task implies that the use of ICT in order to link their personal knowledge, life and knowledge from various subjects (vocational subjects, history, geography, Serbian language, English...). On the other hand, it leaves the possibility that the different interests of students (mobile phones, outs, favorite places in the city, social life ...) can be promoted, provided and to increase their personal motivation. This way the students can express their integred personalities and also be less different from others.

- It is allowed to student through this approach, to the application knowledge in a new light, to utilize the acquired skills and to adopt new ones in order to create a given project. Through learning and practical application, the approach reveals the problems that can arise in the work and find solutions. At the same time it encourages students' creativity.

- The division into groups takes place on several levels: personal, role-based and based on the theme of the task. Specifically, students choose their own topic and are divided into groups within which the roles are clearly defined. This organization allows advanced students to give their best in that area where they are the best, while weaker students have opportunities to get those roles that will enable them to progress through teamwork. This encourages cooperation and fellowship among students develop self-confidence and the desire for progress in order to create common project.

- The possibility that students with their work contribute to the development of their city, as well as the opportunity to have their voice heard, is an additional motivation for them.

- Both teachers attend classes together and lead classes in various stages. This approach requires cooperative work for teachers and teaching, and therefore obtained on interdisciplinarity because it allows students to connect knowledge and skills in various fields.

- We believe that the contribution to the improvement of educational work is reflected in the fact that is organized through this project task to:

  • To motivate students because they activate their personal, life skills
  • To develop the students' cooperation, unity, confidence
  • ICT to be used for the construction of functional knowledge,
  • In an interdisciplinary approach and team work preparing students for their future professions.
