Technical and industrial secondary school Ruđera Boškovića

Technical and industrial secondary school Ruđera Boškovića in Sinj is  first and only school of that kind that was founded in Sinj. Around Fifthy five teachers are employed and over five hundred students attend the school. The children are between the ages of fourteen and eighteen. The school has established a reputation for participating in numerous cultural, public and sports events, as well as national and international project work. Beside its regular exceptional educational work, the school has realized notable results, won awards and recognitions in various fields related to extracurricular activities. 

Teachers and students participate in various IT workshops and training courses on a regular basis. The school  regularly participates in eTwinning projects. 

Civic education is of vital importance to us and is integrated within all our subjects. We endeavor to teach our children to respect human rights and yet also to stand up for their rights. Open mindedness, respect and stimulating awareness of those who are less fortunate and then embracing our differences by becoming active citizens. Promoting solidarity involves voluntary work in the local community, sharing our problems, listening to each other and finding solutions together.

Pupils must be enlightened critical thinkers and well-balanced individuals, prepared for the responsibilities and obligations of life in a civilized and democratic society. Education is crucial, it is our responsibility as teachers to guide our pupils towards positive change. We all need to become individuals who are committed to changing ourselves, the environment that surrounds us and the world in which we live in.

Our motivation and wish is that we educate our children and prepare them for the future, to become socially aware responsible adults. We are part of Europe and wish to contribute to its future. Through our work ethic, perseverance and dedication we fully believe we can make our mark.
