Panagiotis Savorianakis

I was born in Athens in 1966 and I have graduated from the P.S.P.A (Peiramatikon Scholl of the University of Athens, 1984).I have studied History and Archeology at the School of Philosophy, University of Athens (B.A., 1989), Ottoman and Modern Greek Studies at the University of Birmingham, U.K. (M.Phil.,1992) and Modern Greek History at the University of Athens (Ph.D, 1999). I have taught at the Greek private and public secondary education Modern and Ancient Greek Language, Literature, Greek and European History, History-Aesthetics of the Cinema (at Moraitis School, Athens, 1996-2000, Gymnasium of Antimaheia, Kos, 2000-2001 and "Peiramatikon" Lyceum of Anavryta, 2006-2008 and 2012-now). I have also taught Modern Greek History and Didactics of History at the Pedagogy Department of the University of Thessaly (Volos, 2002-2003, 2003-2004, 2006-2007, 2007-2008 at part-time basis) and "Modern Greek Language and Culture" at the Department of Literature of the University of Ghent, Belgium for four academic years at full-time basis (2008-2012). I worked for the "Educational Projects of the Greek Parliament" for five years (2001-2006) and I have written six books concerning studies in Modern Greek History and books for educational purposes, I have also participated in Greek and international conferences of History and published articles on Modern Greek Studies and History. In addition I worked as co-operator for the production of digital educational material.
