Zone College

Ambition
The Zone.college is working on large green vocational education in the eastern Netherlands. We want to ensure progressive vocational education that fits even better with professional practice and in which the business community is closely involved. This makes education more educational for pupils and students, and employees have a more interesting perspective. Large Green vocational education in the east of the Netherlands; that is what we are working on.

With a concrete work agenda we want to achieve these goals in the coming years:

Content-wise progressive offer at different levels
Business actively and innovatively contributes to the implementation of education
Teachers form expertise teams and can be deployed throughout the region
Advance VMBO - MBO

Better flow possibilities
Increase at least 10% more in four years

Decrease of general organization costs up to 2023 with a minimum of 5%
Course
We summarize the core of our functioning as:

We develop perspective in a time full of changes.
The course of the institution indicates how we achieve this and is recorded in a strategic policy plan. In the merger process, the strategic policy plans of the institutions have been merged into a strategic agenda 2018-2019. This agenda is the prelude to a new strategic policy plan 2020-2025.

The key point is our approach is that we want to actively implement "large green education". For VMBO, this is strongly focused on getting acquainted with young people with a sustainable green professional world, so that they are prepared to choose a follow-up course as a world citizen. For MBO, we want to focus mainly on learning in a real professional context, which moves with the developments within the many sectors for which we are training.
